The NJSEA is pleased to announce this new scholarship. This program will run from April 1 through July 15, 2013. Any son, daughter, step-child, grandchild or step-grandchild of an Elk in good standing may apply. You must have been a paid up Elk member prior to March 31, 2011 and your current dues (2013-2014) must be paid.
This $750 scholarship is available for graduating High School Seniors (May or June 2013) as well as currently enrolled Full Time College, Freshman, Sophomores, and Juniors at a two or four year program. In order to have the greatest impact on the most eligible of our students, all members’ offspring meeting these requirements are strongly encouraged to apply.
The New Jersey Elks Charities will award 25% of those applying with this $750 one time scholarship. Each year of eligibility must be applied for separately. That’s right - you may have up to $3000 of your college tuition paid through your scholarship awards.
Applications will be judged on Honors and Awards, Extracurricular Activities, Leadership, Work and Community Service. There will be separate scoring for High School and College students.
Full details and application instructions on the NJ Elks Family Scholarship are posted HERE.
