In vain we call.  Has has passed into the light which is beyond the valley of the shadows of death.  The places that have known him, will know him no more; but his virtues are written on the tablets of love and memory.  Sleep well, My Brother.      But with death, there is also life.  We who have known him miss his passing but we must all reconcile and move forward with our lives.

     Two days to go to the Super Bowl.  Who do you like?  All I can say is, GO GIANTS!!!!  The fun starts here at the Lodge at 4 PM and come early to assure yourself a good seat.  This is kind of a covered dish type of event, so bring something to share.  At game's end will be the raffle for the 55" HD-TV to raise money on behalf of our veterans.  Truly a win, win, win, win proposition.  A good game, good food, good fellowship and maybe a TV thrown in to boot.

       Don't forget that this Wednesday is the Blood Drive.  The Red Cross will be here from 1 to 7 PM to accept your donation.  For an appointment or more info, contact Kathy Joyce at (609) 948-5821.  Thanks again.

       The following Tuesday, February 14, is nominations of officers for the upcoming Lodge year.  You still have time to throw that hat into the ring if you're interested in running (me personally, am walking).  Then, if any office is contested (meaning more than one nominee), elections will be held at our second meeting of the month on Tuesday, February 28.

     Friday Night Food features its annual Valentine's Day dinner on the 10th and the Souper Bowl on the 17th.  As usual, go to our web site at www.brigantineelks.com for even more info on these and more happenings at your Lodge.   That about rounds out this month's schedule.  GO GIANTS!
